Our Lessons

Helping you become the vocalist you have always wanted to be.

Our lessons are always made with a focus on what you want to learn as a student. We will use the music you love in an educational way to make sure you get the most out of your lessons.

I understand that just as every voice is different, every person’s own goals are different, so if you are wanting to rigorously train for that once in a lifetime job or you are beginning to experiment with your first few notes as a singer I will develop creative and inspiring courses unique to you.

A typical lesson will start with warm up’s introducing exercises to relax the larynx, develop foundation breathing control and acknowledge what each part of the body should be doing for best results when singing. We then put this into practice for the rest of a lesson; performing songs and critiquing them in sections. As I get to know you as a person, your aspirations and your unique voice we will split the time for best results. The lessons can also cover any of these topics below should you be interested:

  • Training and warming up your voice
  • Breath awareness
  • Expanding your vocal range
  • Developing a personal vocal style & expression
  • Getting more power/thickness in your vocals
  • Increasing your confidence as a performer
  • Improvement of body posture, mouth & larynx positions

A large aspect of my lessons is to make sure that you enjoy yourself. From experience, students who enjoy learning will always make better progress compared to those who don't. As explained before, this is achieved by a healthy balance of theory, technique as well as the songs that you love and enjoy. Using all three aspects, I expect you will become a great vocalist in no time.

I am more than happy to help you on your singing journey. If you want to improve your vocals, please do not hesitate to get in touch by sending me an email on info@singinglessonsbrighton.co.uk. You can also find out more about Singing Lessons Brighton by visiting the music teacher's database.
